Austate Services if a family-owned business with over 30 years of experience in the manufacturing and fabrication of high-quality road transport equipment. We specialise in the custom manufacture of Trailers and Truck bodies and in the repair and restoration of heavy vehicles in addition to Sales and Servicing.

​

The position will operation from within the workshop and assist with the manufacture and repairs of truck bodies and trailers. 

The Role

​

This role is permanent full-time position

Workshop hours are 7.00am - 3:00pm (day shift)

Overtime available 

​

Key Activities (but not limited to):

​

Undertake aluminium & metal trade construction, fabrication and maintenance

Upkeep of metal trades workshop area and associated tools and equipment

Maintain equipment & machinery to a safe and good working condition

Compliance to all OHS requirements

Adherence to company quality standards

Key Skills

​

• Trade Certificate (111 or higher) is desirable

• Experience in metal construction, fabrication or maintenance

• TIG/MIG welding skills and experience

• Good planning and organisational skills

• Ability to read drawings

• Speak and understand fluent English

We are located in the easily accessible suburb of Minto which is a 20-minute walk from the nearest train station. Our site is only 3 minutes away off the Hume Highway.
